Chairman of the World Laureates Association
Science seeks to understand the world around us. It is a force for the betterment of the human condition. It is international and apolitical. It depends on support by the public and sharing of information. It progresses through serendipity and the work of young minds.
The World Laureates Association has been formed for the advancement of science. The Association has three main purposes: to advocate for science worldwide, especially basic science, the source of transformative discoveries, which take longest to achieve; to contribute to the support of young scientists worldwide, whose dedication and effort will ensure the continuity and success of the scientific enterprise; and to facilitate the activities of the members of the Association in China.
The Association is intended to grow and to be inclusive. It invites the participation of leading scientists of all disciplines and nationalities.
