A: The environment is an interesting book by itself;
Want to know how lives, such as birds, respond to disturbance;
Using knowledge to make a better living environment for humans while conserving biodiversity.
Q: What is the best advice that you have received?
A: Be persistent with research goals and work hard;
Maintain a good relationship with locals;
Be the person who knows a system or study region the most.
Q: What is your research goal?
A: To find a solution to balance the critical social demands (such as timber and food) while conserving biodiversity, on a regional and national scale;
To identify the optimal landscape configuration for maintaining multiple key ecosystem services.
Q: Any suggestions for the younger generation that are passionate for science or for helping foster a better research environment?
A: Have a plan;
Always be humble and persistent;
Just do it.
