Q: What is your early inspiration of doing science?
A: I just want to understand some mechanisms behind phenomena and explore some interesting experiments in my initial stage of science research.

Q: What is the best advice that you have received?
A: Do not follow another’s research, do your own research.

Q: What is your greatest achievement so far?
A: Revealing the origin of prestresses in natural collagen based biominerals, such as bone and dentin.

Q: What is your research goal?
A: Learning from the bioprocesses of nature to realize the synthesis of high-performance composite materials in ambient environment.

Q: What are the obstacles you are facing and what kinds of support you wish to receive?
A: Less funding for me to design and construct some special instruments. 
I want to collaboration with different groups and co-work for my projects.

Q: Any suggestions for the younger generation that are passionate for science or for helping foster a better research environment? 
A: More communication, more collaboration, more practices; and then do science following your heart.
