Winners of the 2022 Breakthrough Prizes in Life Sciences, Fundamental Physics and Mathematics announced.

Among the winners, Katalin Karikó, from BioNTech and University of Pennsylvania, and Drew Weissman from University of Pennsylvania were awarded the 2022 Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences for engineering modified RNA technology which enabled rapid development of effective COVID-19 vaccines.
